The work Die Neigung has an ambiguous purpose, it analyses not only the sloping down or inclination of the mirrors, but also refers to the desire of every individual to catch their glimpse in the reflective surface of the mirror.
The disposition of the seven mirrors, the constantly growing distance between them and the wall, is trying to ignore the gravitational force of the Earth. The gradual bending reduces piece by piece, degree by degree, the originating force of attraction resulting from the object and obscures more and more the vision of our own self-image.
